Turbo Pizza
Written by: David Laprad Published: August 8, 2007 There are so many time management games hitting the market, fans of the genre are going to have to hire someone to run their real life schedule if they want to play all of the good ones. TURBO PIZZA is certainly in that class. As the manager of a pizzeria, your job is to hand out menus, take orders, cook the food and collect the charges in locations ranging from a medieval castle to a sunken submarine. A chef takes care of slapping together the raw ingredients for the pizzas, which helps considering you've also got to prepare hot buttered popcorn, ice cream cones, pastries and drinks. Like the best games in this category, the customers come with varying levels of patience, stringing together combos of the same action nets you extra money and you can customize your restaurant and upgrade your equipment between levels using the money you earn. If you get a good groove going, you even start to rake in bonus payments with each customer. Coming from Oberon Games and Aliasworlds, the creators of SNOWY: LUNCH RUSH, TURBO PIZZA looks great, plays smooth and features a flawless difficulty arc. There's even the occasional mini-game between stages. Just like the perfect pizza, all of the ingredients come together to create a mighty tasty offering.
