This page is for anyone who has visited this site and asked the question "Who's that dude, and why would I want a picture of him as my start-up screen?" Taking the view that people who want more well-known celebrities decorating their VDUs can use the relevant ultra-easy software to damn well make their own, most of the stuff here is what amused and interested my very good self. But after that last batch of cyberpunk gurus I got to thinking that some less arcane choices of topic would be preferable to the average Web-jockey. So here's a bunch of major recording artists, blockbuster / Oscar-winning flicks, totemic Brit comics and a cliche or two for those of you who don't share my taste in cult animation, low-brow arthouse and World War Two propaganda posters.
