The Labor Day Open will be a 5 round, USCF rated, Swiss event. All games are played at game in 90 minutes per player. USCF membership required and available on site.

Entry Fees:

Adult $30, Youth - Senior - Military $20.
One 1/2 point bye per player per tournament, must be requested prior to start of first round.

Friday, August 31
Registration: 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Round 1, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, September 1
Round 2, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Round 3, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, September 2
Round 4, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Round 5, 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Closing Ceremony, 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Prizes:

Prizes dependant on entries.

The Tournament will be a 4 round USCF rated Open Swiss event, All games are played at game in 60 minutes. Open to civilians and military. Non military participants must pre-register. Active Duty Air Force participants are competing for a trip to the Air Force Championship and will play each other in rounds 3 and 4.

Scholastic/Non Rated Section possible if there are enough players who choose not to play in the Open Section (not eligible for Air Force Championship).

Required No Later Than April 7th for Chess Players requiring access to Elmendorf.

Civilians must access Elmendorf A.F.B. through the Boniface Parkway Security Gate:

1. Must be pre-registered (see above) and at the Gate between 9:30-9:45 A.M. April 14th to assure Base entry (we will have someone posted at the Visitors Center to make sure there are no access problems).
2. Must have current: Drivers Licence, Vehicle Registration, Proof of Insurance.

Registration:
April 14th, 10:00 - 10:30 A.M.
Juice, coffee and light snacks will be provided by the Elmendorf Chess Club.

Entry Fees:
Adult - $10, Child - $5 (12 and under)

Game Start Times:
Round 1 - 10:30 A.M.
Round 2 - 12:30 P.M.
Round 3 - 3:30 P.M.
Round 4 - 5:30 P.M.

Non-Cash Awards: plaques, medals, or other suitable substitutes
