• Cardholders earn reward points redeemable toward purchases at Amazon.com. If you have the black Amazon.com Visa Card, you earn one point for every dollar spent anywhere else using the card and three reward points for every dollar spent at Amazon.com (except for purchases that include items from Borders and Waldenbooks teamed with Amazon, and purchases from merchants including Eddie Bauer, Newport News, and The Bombay Company, for which you'll earn one point per dollar). For every 2,500 points accrued, Chase will mail you a $25 Reward Certificate at the end of your monthly billing cycle.

Most applications are approved instantly so you can use your card for purchases on Amazon.com right away. See "When can I start using my card?" below.

If you were not instantly approved, you'll need to wait until your application has completed the approval process--usually within 2 to 4 weeks after applying. Due to the time it takes to process applications, please wait at least 2 weeks after applying before inquiring about the status of your application. Neither Amazon.com nor Chase will be able to speed up the processing of an Amazon.com Visa card application that was selected for manual review.

You can use your new Visa on Amazon.com as soon as you are approved. We'll add the card to your account as a payment method and send you an e-mail message with instructions so you can start shopping right away. You can also read "How do I use my card on Amazon.com?" below.

While we make it possible for customers to use the Amazon.com Visa for Amazon.com purchases upon approval, you will not receive the complete card number or be able to use the card for purchases outside Amazon.com until your card arrives in mail.   

Customers typically receive their Amazon.com Visa cards in the mail within 3 weeks of being approved. Once you receive and activate the physical card, you may begin using it anywhere Visa is accepted.

Please Note: Even though you may be approved instantly, Chase and Amazon.com customer service associates do not have access to your complete credit card number and cannot provide it to you before your card arrives.

Upon approval, we automatically add your Amazon.com Visa to your Amazon.com account as a payment method. You can use your Amazon.com Visa for purchases on Amazon.com right away as long as your orders are shipped to an address already on your Amazon.com account.

1. Log into the Amazon.com customer account that you used while signing up for the Amazon.com Visa card and add items to your shopping cart.
2. Select a shipping address that was listed on your Amazon.com account at the time your application was approved.
3. Select the radio button that appears next to the Amazon.com Visa credit card in the payment section.

Please Note: As a security measure, if (a) you wish to ship your order to a new address or (b) your order is for a gift certificate or a downloadable product like an e-book, then you must first wait until you receive the physical card in the mail and then enter it as a payment method.

There are a few reasons why you may not see your new Amazon.com Visa Card appearing as a payment option on the order form:

• For your protection, the order must be shipped to one of the addresses currently listed on your account.
• If you have more than one Amazon.com account, you may be logged in to a different account than the one associated with your Amazon.com Visa Card application. Please try logging into another account. If you can't remember your password, please e-mail us.
• You may not have been instantly approved. Please contact Chase Bank to check the status of your application.

For your protection, any order you place before you receive your Amazon Visa card in the mail must be shipped to one of the addresses already on your Amazon.com account at the time you applied. If you attempt to enter a new address or even retype an existing address as a new entry, the Amazon Visa will not be listed as a payment option and you will have to wait for the card to arrive.

To change the shipping address at checkout:

1. During checkout, click the Ship to this address button for any address listed in the "Choose a shipping address" section.
2. If you are already on the page titled "Please review and submit your order," click the Change button next to "Shipping to" and choose a pre-existing address.
3. After choosing an eligible address, click the Change button in the Payment Method section and select the Amazon Visa from listed payment methods.

If you choose a listed address added after you applied for the Amazon Visa, you will be asked to enter the full credit card number.

Amazon.com works with Chase to develop incentive programs for signing up for the Amazon.com Visa card. We currently offer a $30 savings to customers who get an Amazon.com Visa card. In order to qualify, you must apply online through a link on Amazon.com, through one of the sign-up links above, or by calling Chase at 1-800- 347-7887. If you apply for the Amazon.com Visa card via postal mail, or on a website other than Amazon.com, you will not be offered the same promotional package.

If you are a new Amazon.com Visa customer and qualify for the promotion, you will automatically receive a $30 credit on your Amazon.com Visa card account (not on your Amazon.com account) within a few days after you make your first purchase with your new card. The $30 savings will appear as a credit on your next Amazon.com Visa Card statement. If your first purchase was within a few days of your next monthly statement, then you will see the credit only on the following statement.

Please Note: Any purchase made with your Amazon.com Visa qualifies for the savings. We make it easy for you to use your Amazon.com Visa to make your first purchase with your new card on Amazon.com--you can place orders upon approval before your card arrives in the mail. See "How do I use my card on Amazon.com?" for details.

If your first purchase is made on Amazon.com, the savings will not appear on the checkout page when you place your order--the savings is applied to your Amazon.com Visa account after the purchase is completed. If you made a purchase and the credit does not appear on your Amazon.com Visa card statement, please contact Chase Bank.

Unless you have specifically requested Chase not to mail your statement, Chase will send you the bill for your Amazon.com Visa card by post after every billing cycle. If you wish to view your Amazon.com Visa card statement online or pay your bill online, register for online account access at www.chase.com/amazon after you have received your Amazon.com Visa card in the mail. Customers typically receive their Amazon.com Visa cards in the mail within 3 weeks of being approved.

You can see your reward point balance as of your last statement by logging into your Amazon.com Visa card online account at www.chase.com/amazon, and clicking the "See rewards details" link. Your reward point balance will also be visible on your Amazon.com Visa Card statement.
