You might find promotional certificates or claim codes from Amazon.com in newspapers and magazines, in shipments, or even on the street! We offer a wide variety of these certificates as a way of saying "Thank you!" for shopping with us.

Promotional codes can be redeemed only at the time you place an order. Simply follow the instructions on the certificate or the promotion's "See details" page and enter the claim code on the Pay or Place Order page of the order form.

If the total cost of the items you are purchasing exceeds the amount of the certificate, you will be prompted to provide your credit card information for the remaining balance. Please note that generally, promotional certificates may not be applied toward sales tax or shipping costs.

Be sure to read the entire list of restrictions associated with any promotional certificate or offer you use. If your order does not seem to reflect the benefits associated with the promotional offer, take another moment to review the restrictions. Take special note of both the items you're buying and the sellers you're buying them from, as some promotional certificates are restricted to certain items and/or sellers.

You can verify that a promotional certificate was successfully applied when you receive e-mail confirmation of your order. The details of every order you place are also always accessible via Your Account.

You need to enter your promotional certificate's claim code into the order form only once in order to redeem those funds. If for some reason you do not place an order at that time, those funds will remain in your account until they are used or until they expire. When you place another order that meets the restrictions for the promotion, you should see these funds listed on the "Payment" section of the order form.

Some promotional certificates and offers are restricted to one per customer, and some require a minimum purchase. Please read our promotional certificate rules and restrictions or visit the link included with the promotional offer for the specific restrictions associated with that specific offer.

Should you return an order that was placed using a promotional certificate, you will not be refunded for the amount of the certificate, as these discounts were deducted from the original purchase amount.
