we lost her only sibling, my 19 year old daughter (amongst other family deaths). our economic status went from upper class to below the poverty level. i have made honest decisions through these times which cost us much economically. integrity can come at a high financial cost. my 12 year old is being called a freak at school. we are actually both freaks if you look at what the term means. she has seen more death and closer deaths than most 40 yo's. as i am now a single mother with no family to speak of, i do all i can to provide a normal life for her. but in order to move to a good school district we had to rent a horrid little house in a town that is growing faster than any in our state. most of the kids at school have moved into sub-divisions and are all upper to high upper class. the poverty issue (i never thought this would impact her) is a large part of why they bully her. and she is so compassionate due to experience, that she would never say anything back. such a sweet kid.

Did you give in and go to church to keep the peace? Or did you stand your ground and refuse to go?
