Cleared of murder, U.S. citizen leaves Nicaragua

An American jailed in Nicaragua was released Friday and left the country, four days after a court overturned his conviction on charges of murdering his ex-girlfriend, his family told CNN. But now Eric Volz, 28, of Tennessee "will be in hiding, due to reports of threats against him," his family said in a statement. full story
