As expected, this coming March update will bring some new elements to Campaign. It kinda makes sense since it is the main part of the WotG expansion and is just like the besieged of ToAH. The question remains if we'll finally get out AF for Scholar and Dancer though.

Since the release of the Wings of the Goddess expansion pack, countless adventurers have enjoyed serving their nations in the Campaign theater. Occurring in higher frequency than their Besieged counterparts, Campaign battles offer a more readily available venue, where players may take on more varied and rewarding roles.

Couldn't attend the Fan Festival 2007? Curious to see what it looked like? Well today the community team released a wrap-up video of the event on the official FFXI site.

If you were unable to make it to the event, or if you just want to relive some of the excitement of the show, then check out the new wrap-up video that was added to the official site! The version update to prepare the world for the Wings of the Goddess expansion will take place on November 13. Here's the info.

On Nov. 20, 2007, the FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will be shipped.

Due to the number of new features included in this expansion, an update of the game will be required for all players (even those who have not installed the expansion). The preparatory version update for the FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess expansion disc will be performed on the following date.

FINAL FANTASY XI gameplay will not be interrupted during this update as there will be no server maintenance conducted at this time.

Also, additional preparatory server maintenance is scheduled to be performed on Nov. 19, 2007. Details on this maintenance will be announced in the "Information" section.

The new features for FINAL FANTASY XI: Wings of the Goddess expansion will become available sometime on Nov. 21, 2007.

* This update consists of a version upgrade of the client program. When you press the play button after the time stated below, the version upgrade will begin automatically. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

As some of you might know already, there was an event similar to our Fan Festival that took place last week-end in Osaka. At the end of the show some new information on the upcoming expansion Wings of the Goddess was released. Here's a preview.

Wings of the Goddess, the upcoming expansion for FINAL FANTASY XI, will give players the opportunity to discover a new job and an old favorite: the scholar.

During the time of the Crystal War, scholars earned the respect of all ranks of the allied forces with their ability to lead troops to victory using a combination of shrewd planning and resourceful strategies in their positions as tacticians and military officers.
