PUZZLES WORKBOOKS FOR SCHOOL CHESS CLUBS AND HOMEWORK Why solve puzzles?
These
workbooks are developed by
WGM Elena over 15 years of her teaching practice. She is using these
materials to work with private students with a great rate of success – most of Elena students achieve
rating of 1000-1100+ starting from
rating of 400 in less than a year. Majority of her students score 5 points out
of 5 at least once in local scholastic tournaments and qualify into Tournament of Champions

The levels’ description is below. Please consider a few things about rating and levels before ordering,
We suggest that you order Chess Academy 101, 102, 103, for you clubs as described below and get more workbooks later on if needed.
The division between Advanced beginners and Intermediate levels (as far as levels go) is difficult to define and depends on individual puzzles solving skills, age, and experience.
These workbooks will do wonder for you child if solved as directed, students become 1100+ after a year, based on WGM Elena practice. These workbooks are a result of 10+ of work and using these puzzles in our summer camps and after-school chess clubs.
In case of doubt we suggest you to go with
easier level, it helps students’ self-confidence.

Workbooks are the best way to solve puzzles, not
computer software. Solving puzzles on the computer develops bad thinking habits
and doesn’t help young kids in developing vision of the chess tactics.
For advanced players 1800+ software will help more, but young students need to develop brain first before moving to computers.
