Al Qaeda declares 'failure and defeat' for U.S. troops in Iraq

Marking the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, al Qaeda's media arm released an audio recording, purportedly from the group's second-in-command, saying U.S. troops there have failed.

As long as all queda can keep the proportions in the ratio 500.000 dollars (total cost for the destruction of the twin towers) to US expenditures of 500 billion dollars ( invasion in Afghanistan and Iraq), it doesn't take much to recognize who is going to succeed :-)

It would be nice if the administration would start to employ the brain instead of a check book!

Who is Al Qaeda? We will let God Almighty determine that.....How do you fail when you don't even know what the mission is? Life is falling everytime you take a step...and you catch yourself and if you fall you get back up.. Lives lost are priceless.....The difference between a righteous man and an unrighteous man is that the rightreous man gets back up each time....

Unfortunately US is going to run out of money before they run out of people :-)

As for the common Iraqi, he can kiss his ass goodbye!

As for the common US citizen, he can kiss his retirement goodies god bye.

(And if China decides to sell of its dollar currency reserve, then it time for the last American to switch of the light!)....Oh dear!

The pain and suffering that one rag at a time feels, and their families, really isn't the first concern of Americans. Many of us think about the lives and pain and death of the Americans that are there in harms way. The total number affected to date does not approximate the total number that went to Vietnam. In 100 years it will have a chance to pass that number. I would not be able to guess what year that will be. I think that many people don't want to go towards that number. That might be it. Many of us want everyone home. I'll leave it at that, unless you could tell me what is our mission?

You missed the point of the post & don't confuse our mission in Iraq w/ the hunt 4 Al Qaeda! Iraq is going much better now that politicians finally gave Generals the equipment needed! Those are things you Anti-American CNN loving types hate to hear!

We are winning in Iraq. Maybe they meant Afghanistan and got confused.
That is the no-win situation. No matter how long we stay Al Quieda is firing away as we withdraw.
At least we have French allies to cover our retreat.

"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week."
-Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader

"If the American forces leave, they will lose everything. And if they stay, they will bleed to death."
-Ayman al-Zawahiri, Terrorist

That should be enough to tell you that the Dems don't want to succeed in Iraq.

By the way, the two remaining freaks in the Dem nomination both want to win the nomination of their party.

Why do they know the meaning of WIN in politics, but they can't even say the word when asked about our successes in Iraq?

Selective "win" I guess.

The situation in Iraq is fine. We won. There is just a problem with lawlessness. When we do pull out the government will remain.
If we leave too soon they may need new "friends" in Iran but will do what they must to survive.
Bush won this one for the history books whatever the left claims.

This is what happens when Al Qaeda watches CNN and assumes everyone in America is a gutless, treasonous, despicable, self-serving, spoon-fed, pathetic democRat.
