Let's treat our kids and our vets like shit for four more years!

Damn that should be a Republican party platform point by now.

Our country has a 200 year old history of treating the people who have courage enough to fight for our country, be the cause proven unjustified by history, forced to fight because of draft, or volunteers who served tour after tour in living hell. Our veterns are homeless, self medicating to escape the visions they cannot shake, they are in substandard hospitals, with no money to treat them correctly and often with staff permeated by people who don't care, and are often cruel. They are among the working poor. The more lucky can be found up and up again in the social spectrum, that does not mean that they don't suffer still. Wars not recognized as wars until years upon years later. Congress cutting funding yearly. Unfortunately, the plight of our heros and the fallen is not seen often, perhaps we do not wish to see it.

120 US veterans commit suicide each week. Our veterans deserve decent mental and physical health care.

my father died from agent orange and never got one dime till he was cold in the ground.

BUT theese men DESERVE everything they need for the rest of their lives after what they have been through.

This is good news, maybe future presidents & congress will not commit militay to fight in conflicts that violate their contracts.
Our oath is to protect & defend the constitution against all enemies foreign & domestic.
Iraqis were not our enemy.

Jesus and the Veteran have one thing im common, they both died for us. We as a nation are a failure if we do not honor and take care of our veterans, all the rest means nothing if we do not take care of them and their families when in need. To turn our backs on them is unforgivable and this nation will never survive under God if we do.

The health care system for vets has never been good.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least. What really disgusts me is that this administration pretends to care about our men and women. If it really DID care, we'd be OUT of places that don't want us and have made it plain.

I keep hearing about this stupid "war on terror". Well it's as stupid as the "war on drugs". All I'm seeing is our precious young and career age men and women get screwed and this country is no more the safe for it. In fact we are LESS safe.

Because instead of guarding the border for our own sovereignty, we are somewhere else. While gangs and illegals terrorize this nation, it seems to me that the "war on terror" is one big sham. The same goes for the so called "war on drugs".

It's pretty bad when our own government ALLOWS a KNOWN criminal, illegal alien drug dealer to go free and do his business again an again; while two of our U.S. border patrol agents are left to languish in prison for merely shooting the ^&^*()%^^&*(&^*() drug dealer in the behind.

WHAT a travesty.

And with all that, we are generating casualties that we don't HAVE to generate and our stupid democratic congress doesn't give a FLIP about using our men and women. They'd rather import NEW cheap people that they can use as their minions.

At least that's the way I see it putting puzzle pieces together.

Ya know,.....I didn't mind my time in the service, It was the treatment by the goverment after I got out and the treatment by people who never served that continues to anger me. Several years ago Bush made the statement that we will go into countrys that support terriorism with or without their permission. The very next day he tried to enact a deep cut in Veterans Hospitals benfits. WTF? Anger?.....You betcha!

Because if people hear that the government is being sued, more U.S. lawsuits will occur over other issues.

The government should really take example from the way the Masons take care of their people.

It is SAD the way our government treats our Vets.

Because our gov uses the troops like throwaways. It holds up a few heros and pats em on the back and then shoves it too em with the other hand, but it seems for too long the troops were happy to be used and abused and say nothing.

Too bad, because according to everything, they should be cared for better than any of the war mongering presidents or congress, for the last 40 years.

It's going to take a majority of them to make it happen, but if they don't, then they will deserve what they get,--to be thrown away after they aren't fighters anymore.

On second thought, it's very likely the higher-ups in the service are going to tell the lesser ranks, that if they don't hush, they better remember america is going to third world countries and training new troops for a fraction of what it costs to train and keep them.

Oops, too bad, as the troops will be replaced by the 10cent fighters, from the poorest nations. Anyone can be taught to shoot a gun or drive a vehicle. You only need a few highly skilled individuals to operate the really high tech stuff.

I for one hope they hurry and sue the gov or they are most all just gonna be out of luck or as they say, fired.--let-go.
