Global Chess is chess played on a sphere, with each player's pieces starting at the opposite poles. It is played just like normal chess, except that there is no castling, and pieces can wrap around the poles. This has an interesting side effect of causing bishops to be able to get to any space on the board, conceivably. Unfortunately, due to the sheer size of the board image, this can only be played in 1024x768 screen mode or higher. To change screen modes, right-click on your desktop and choose "Properties...", then go to the "Settings" tab and make your changes there. Forward all comments to Rob LeRoy. Rob LeRoy's homepage.
