Actor Farina arrested after gun found in luggage at LAX
Dennis Farina has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after a loaded gun was found in his carry-on luggage.
Police say the 64-year-old actor told them he forgot the .22-caliber handgun was in his luggage Sunday.
Sgt. Dennis Beacham says Farina was caught at a security checkpoint and booked for investigation of carrying a concealed weapon. Bail was set at $25,000.
Messages were left for Farina's attorney, Kevin York, and his agent.
Farina has a role in the Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz comedy 'What Happens in Vegas.' It opened Friday. Read more

Backstage meddling has caught up 'American Idol' favorite David Archuleta's dad, who's been banned from rehearsals, a person working for the TV talent contest said Friday.
Jeff Archuleta was told this week by producers that he can no longer join his 17-year-old son David as he prepares for the show, the person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. The person wasn't authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Governor: Movie Studios Being Lured Out Of Calif.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says California must increase tax incentives to movie and television studios as a way to keep them from moving their productions out of state.
He says incentives being offered by other states are luring studios away and costing California tens of thousands of jobs.
His comments on Friday came days after Walt Disney Co.'s ABC Studios said it was planning to move production of its popular "Ugly Betty" television show from Los Angeles to New York.
A new law there triples New York's film tax credit. Companies can receive a 35 percent credit if at least three-quarters of their production is filmed in the state. Read more
