GRANDMA JONES'S CUSTARD PIE

• Beat 4 eggs
• Add: 3/4 cup sugar
• Dash salt
• Dash nutmeg
• Blend in: 2 cups milk.

Pour into prepared pie crust that you have placed on the oven shelf first. Add: 1 c. milk the last thing and bake first at 425 F. for 15 mins. then turn down oven to 325 F. for about 30-35 mins. until set in center. Store in refrigerator.

PIE CRUST

• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup Crisco shortening (or lard)
• 4 Tbs. ice cold water
• pinch salt

Mix lightly and roll out and put in pie pan.
