The pros and cons of an Obama-Clinton ticket

Pro: It would unite the Obama supporters and the Clinton supporters, many of whom have threatened to vote for McCain or Nader or the as-yet-unnamed Green Party candidate if their preferred Democrat didn't win ...

The Dems think they have two "wonderful candidates." Putting them both on the same ticket gives them the worst of both worlds.

There is a Choice we can all get behind and Ron Paul has endorsed him. It is past time that we only vote for the lesser of the evils.
We Are Americans we deserve to be honest with ourselves. Please take but a moment to look at the Baldwin for President site. He is still one of the Biggest Ron Paul supporters in the Country.
We know the media and the publics (misguided) opinion is against a fair outcome. Just give Chuck a looking over.

Dear Larry, If what you say is true, then tell me, why are you guys running McCain...? He was a brave and honorable military man, however we don't owe him the presidency of the United States...

It should be the other way around Clinton/Obama. Even if Hillary goes on the ticket, many will still not vote for Obama. Hillary will just be a poster child for him. She's better off if she doesn't run as an Independent,(which she should) then she will be in a position to become the Majority leader, Harry Reed is a wet noodle and it's time for him to leave. Then Obama would have to deal with Hillary as the Majority leader. The Democratic Party hasn't screwed the pooch so bad the question is will the Party still remain the Majority, on how it has screwed this election. This Caucus Bullshit has to stop. It's believed that Hillary would have stomped Obama to ground if there was no Caucus Primaries.

This "Dream Team" ticket represents the Democratic Party's only hope.

If JFK and LBJ could manage to swallow their differences and run on the same ticket, so can Obama and Hillary.

Hillary might be VP (call in some markers at the convention) or run as an independent. Hillary would not work out because guess what folks - the hillary supporters would still not be happy.

They will not be happy unless she is president.

Creating change is not having a mccain look-a-like in second position folks.

Lets face it - Obama the half-white guy that is seen by the racist conservative Americans as a black person would have to then watch his front AND his back if hillary was the vp.

The Secret Service, if they are really going to protect him, will be very busy because as we all know there are a lot of ignorant conservatives in this country that for the dumbest, are terrified that a half-white man might be the president.

Its pathetic and embarrassing, but sadly it is part of America.

He may not have a choice. She could be made VP at the convention, if I am not mistaken, if the delegates vote for her.

The clintons are very powerful still.

Lets not kid ourselves. There are a lot of bildeberg types that do not want Obama as president.

They pretty much have to be on the same ticket or Mccain will win the white house. I've run statistics on the percent of Obama and Clinton supporters that would not vote for the opposing candidate and if you give that percent to Mccain he wins by a land slide. Also if Mccain/Romney ran against Clinton/Obama. Clinton /Obama win easily.

The VP is selected BEFORE the convention. They have to prepare speeches and the like.

I agree with Mike on the caucus issue. Caucuses always go to the less moderate candidate in each party. Caucuses are a way to give support to the fringe candidates (even if they are popular) and are not in the best interest of the party (Democrat or Republican) or the country. That is how we end up with Bush-Kerry elections. At least, for a change, a moderate came out of the other race and we have a chance to elect a President who doesn't side across the board with his party (immigration, campaign finance reform, Iraq surge, against tax cuts without spending cuts, environment, stem cell research). A man who has friends throughout the Congress, not just in his party. A man who has honorably served his nation as an Officer and a POW. For the first time in my life I am excited to vote for a candidate, and he is not the lesser of two evils. I just hope America gets over politics and supports a man who will ignore populist politics and make the tough decisions that will make our nation stronger. I can't wait to vote for McCain.

True even the rag, Coulter, said that there were lot of POWs...can't we find a better one.

She also said "If he's our candidate, then Hillary's gonna be our girl, because she's more conservative than he is...I will campaign for her if it's McCain."

Wonder where Ann's been hiding. Perhaps over with the Clintons?

Right now Bobblehead Billary is promising the moon to the people of Costa Rico. She's after the Super Delegates, period! She just promised them medicade, medicare, etc. and she has a plan to get the country out of the situation its' in. She said she'll help them with the current fuel situation, she has a plan! One can only hope the translator stated her lies as they were told and people in Costa Rica are brighter than to fall for her B.S. I'm all for voting for a female candidate, but not Billary Clinton!
