Unemployment rate in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is less than in Germany, Edkham Akbulatov, Krasnoyarsk Territory Deputy Governor, stated at the regional meeting on the development prospects of labor market.
Unemployment rate decreased from 3.1% as for early 2007 to 2.5% by the end of 2007. Nearly 300,000 people found a job in the state employment agencies. 51,000 people were employed last year. Employment rate reached about 39%, which is higher than in Siberian Federal District and Russia in general. "In the first place, employment rate decreased thanks to the implementation of big investment projects in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, such as, for instance, the development of Lower Angara Region," Akbulatov noted.
