Mining Chemical Combine reactor ADE-2 will be operated safely for 3 years more minimum. Such a conclusion was made by experts of the Resources Commission of Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency Rosatom after a thorough examination of the technical state of the reactor, the press service of Mining Chemical Combine reported. The commission of twelve experts was working at the combine from March 24 to 29.
Rosatom experts studied a set of documents prepared by MCC specialists. This data describes the state of ADE-2 reactor and predictions about its state. "According to the current technical parameters of ADE-2 reactor, it can be operated safely for minimum 3 years with annual technical testing," is said in the summary given by the experts. The act of expert examination must be signed by Rosatom within a month.
According to Sergey Peshkov, chief engineer of MCC, such examinations are carried out every year to confirm working efficiency of ADE-2 reactor.
