More than 50 tonnes of concentrate of precious metals worth $1 million were seized in Norilsk by officers of the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Chief Directorate for Internal Affairs. Inga Bekisheva, a spokesperson for the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime informed Knews about it.
A hiding place masked with deer skins, where slime of nonferrous and precious metals were kept, was found as part of operative and prevention actions at the territory of a private firm. The total weight of slime was more than 50 tonnes. According to preliminary estimation, the slime found costs more than $1,000.
A criminal case on theft (Article 158 of the Russian Federation Criminal Code) was opened by Norilsk Directorate for Internal Affairs. Investigation is being carried out to establish affiliated persons.
