Nearly 100 people took part in the conference of the Association of Siberian and Far Eastern Cities, which opened in Krasnoyarsk today. Representatives of 25 regions of Russia ranging from Yakutsk to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, from Kemerovo and Novosibirsk gathered at the forum. Some small towns such as Sayanogorsk attended the conference too.
The conference was devoted to the discussion of Housing and Communal Services (HCS) reform, namely, capital repair of housing stock. The main participants of the conference were HCS specialists from different regions of Russia. Krasnoyarsk was represented by deputy mayors Victor Yashchuk and Vitaly Bobrov. Representatives of Municipal Economy Institute of Moscow participated in the meeting too.
The participants of the conference will discuss problems which arise in capital repair and share their experience. "Funds for housing stock repair are allocated to us from the State Fund of Association of HCS Reformation. Along with other regions of Russia we need to get and spend this money on this purpose. In this connection all the regions work out a special repair programme and present it to experts in Moscow. Today we are going to discuss some difficulties which one may be confronted with in it," Victor Yashchuk explained.
