 A criminal case, which was opened against Alexey Lebed, head of the Republic of Khakassia, was stopped thanks to absence of crime in the act.
As the Republican Government informed on April 11, Lebed received the cancellation of a remedial coercion as for April 8, 2008.
It is worth reminding that Alexei Lebed was suspected of abusing his official powers. A criminal case was opened against him after a checkup carried out by the General Prosecutor's Office in summer 2006. The foundations for the criminal case initiation were two trips abroad of the head of Khakassia at the expense of Khakass State Technical Institute. Investigation period was prolonged several times.
