The investigation of a Kansky District case of a woman, who buried her daughter in the potato cellar, is over. The criminal case was sent to court to establish if the mother should be sent to forced psychiatric treatment on April 21, the Krasnoyarsk Territory Prosecutor's Office reported.
As Newslab reported earlier, the body of the 11-year-old girl was found in the village of Antsir in Kansky District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in autumn 2007. It was established that the girl had diabetes and died of absence of vital insulin. The woman hid her daughter's body in the cellar and concealed her death for about a month. Moreover, the woman raised four more children.
A checkup was carried out by Kansky Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office and showed that there were no required conditions for the child in the family. Aware of the child's illness, the woman was depriving her daughter of the medicine awaiting her death, the Prosecutor's Office reported. A psychiatric expert examination was held in March 2008. It showed that the woman had a chronic mental disease which should be treated forcedly in a mental hospital.
The rest of the children were taken to the orphanage.
