It seems that situation will be worse in coming days. If governments, especially the rich nations, do not take necessary measures to control food prices, many poor countries can face civil war type situation. If people will face the situation in which they can't buy a food item, they will think to either steal it or snatch it. What is the use of all the educational and scientific development of the world if we fail to provide basic needs to a major part of world community??? Wealth distribution system is not just. Rich is becoming more rich and poor is become more poor. The ones in authority to solve this problem should take action.

Immediate action is needed to stock the food rations, allow grain to enter the country, and utilize the vast fields available east of Nairobi for the production of a crop that will feed all of East Africa.
The next season will be here, the United Nations will be the same.

It is nothing more than a hugh brokerage house for corrupt nations to continue to do business as usual under the cover of the UN! What a joke! Don't think the food revolution will only happen in third world countries. Revolts have happened through put the history of mankind. It amazing what happens when people are hungry. It so saddens me to watch this from afar when it's easy to see a solution, as you have mentioned.

Well if obama gets elected that will happen here. His brother is the one who is ordering the police to tear gas innocent people. We will be sending all of our food to feed obama other country. The UN needs to be disbanded. It should have been dis banded in the late 60's
