Mexico Destabilizing: Is War With USA Imminent?

Bring our troops home from Iran and defend the real threat to our sovereignty! They may be our neighbors, but they are not our friends!

They aren't our friends, while they're up here in the USA boasting they are going to conquer us, they are losing Mexico.

We don't need military troops to defeat the Reconquistas. Just deny citizenship to children born of illegal immigrants and stop supporting them with tax payer funded programs, and they will leave by choice following the same path they arrived.

Exactly! As long as we continue to provide support and incentives, they will continue to enter our nation illegally. The free lunch line needs to shut down.

I agree we need to stop supporting them, however, when the drug cartels decide it's time to enter our southern border, it'll be too late to save many of our citizens. Always be prepared and be pro-active, not re-active!

I agree! Border security is absolutely vital to the defense of any soveriegn nation. I can't find evidence of any other country allowing undocumented foreigners to flood through their borders the way that we do. We must wake up to the grim realities before it is too late to stop the flood.

They are an economic drain, they are corrupt and unstable, the drug cartels are a security issue, there is the reconquista attitude shared by many. Yep build a wall and tell them to F.off

Terrorists and drug runners will always find a way to get around, under, or over a fence. However, if we use economic and political disincentives to reduce the flood of illegal immigration to a small stream, then it will be a lot easier to spot a terrorist or drug runner, because they'll be about the only people still trying to get in.

Sadly I don't think the war will happen because our government and leaders are corrupt. Our citizens have been brainwashed into thinking that the important news is about Brittney Spears or the sports game of the week. They'll yell when the US and their way of life is gone but by then it will be too late.

Mark my words, when we do send the illegals back, and we will, they will be the same people shooting at us when Mexico tumbles. They have no love for this country and will be even more vindictive when forced back to their side of the border.

People have been saying this for at least a couple of years. El Boosho is just waiting in the sidelines with his oil cronies for just exactly this so he can declare martial law. He and others are in the mexiholes pocketbooks working out a deal with their oil.

I understand how in a time of civil unrest, there will be riots and confrontations with border guards, but why would Mexicans in general be shooting at us? Despite my position of illegal immigration, I still think they are for the most part decent and easy going people.

My apologies for generalizing. What I meant was that, there are large numbers here illegally who will be angered when deported. They will see the insurrection across the border as a "fight for the cause", whether it be for re-entry or revenge, but they WILL join in just as they join in the protests here. It is obvious that they can be easily manipulated by whomever appears to be their champion.

I read that nafta is hurting people in mexico more than it is hurting us here in the usa.

and there are mass protests going on down there against nafta.

my guess is - the people in mexico will stop nafta before we do.

globalization is a stupid idea. already, we are seeing countries all over the world stockpiling their rice. not selling it outside their countries.

the idea of letting the most efficient supply the goods is stupid. if for example you stop farming in your country to allow another country who is more efficient to supply the food, what happens in the time of war?

russia and china today wrote how they don't want the west to built their missile system. if we listen to them, and iran nukes us, who is to blame?

protectionism is the key to the survival of a country. and it will continue to be so until energy and food are not an issue in the world.

and that will not happen in our lifetime.
