An Inn for All Seasons

Built in 1784, the Main House of The Old Mystic Inn is a picturesque country colonial tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Old Mystic, Connecticut. The Carriage House is located just behind the Main House and was built in 1988.  Located just three miles north of Historic Downtown Mystic, visitors can experience the rest and relaxation the Inn offers while being only a short distance to local attractions, scenic views, shopping, and dining.

With its huge maple trees, gazebo, and white picket fence, the Inn lends itself to the restful atmosphere often found in quaint New England towns.  Enjoy the peace and tranquility of your room without the distraction of television or telephone.  These amenities are available to all guests of the Inn and can be found in the Keeping Room of the Main House.

The Old Mystic Inn is recommended as a wedding venue by Connecticut Magazine.  We have several specialty packages available.  Please provide us with at least a 24-hour advanced request so we may accommodate you.

Formerly a book store boasting over 20,000 books, the Old Mystic Inn has carried on that theme by naming the rooms after New England authors.  Each room has a copy of the works that helped make the author famous.  Click on the book graphic to enjoy a stroll through the rooms of this quaint New England Inn.
