Peter Hamilton ARCHITECTS is a design oriented practice with over thirty-five years of architectural experience. The firm has an extensive background in a wide variety of building types including galleries and small museums, academic, commercial, health care, recreational and residential projects. Specifically the firm has experience in Child Care Facilities, Hotels, Inns and Conference Centres (multi-purpose assembly occupancy buildings).

The firm has concentrated on the discovery of new forms of expression appropriate to our changing culture. This search applies to new buildings as well as those involving urban revitalization, renovation and the restoration of historic buildings. Light, mass and structure are the media of our art which we use to produce memorable visual and spatial experiences. Local and national design awards received are recognition for our search.

Mr. Hamilton worked in Finland and France for three years following graduation from the University of Toronto. He took a post graduate degree at Harvard University in architectural design, concentrating on low cost low income housing. He owes a debt of gratitude to his teachers, Josep Luis Sert, Jerzy Zoltan, Shadrach Woods and John Andrews.
