Metra trains are being delayed up to a half hour in both directions after an animal grease spill snarled the Union Pacific West Line on Friday afternoon.

Metra train kills pedestrian in Wheaton
A Metra train struck and killed a man about 6:45 a.m. Friday in Wheaton. Police say the man intentionally stepped in front of the westbound train near the train crossing at Liberty and Front streets.
