| Global Star | Search and Rescue 4 PC | Believe you me, there is no other helicopter sim like this one. If you"re looking for realism in physics and enjoyment in manouvering a chopper with realistic controls and behaviour along with awesome visuals than this is it !!!
Having played all these "so-called" latest and best helicopter combat sims made me puke in absolute disgust in comparison. They"re not sims, they"re an utter insult to anything that resembles any realism of helicopter physics - they"re nothing but a slot box arcade nonsense. None of these come anywhere near the "Search and Rescue"s" ankles.

| Monte Cristo | Fire Chief PC | This is the first computer game I have played. I am 49 and it was bought for my 3 year old son. We spent 6 months playing this nearly every day with me trying it out in advance of him so I could guide him through it. We completed all the missions except one which kept crashing and I must say I (and him) really enjoyed it. He is now 4 and can complete most of the missions by himself (he is trying to play the Nuclear Plant now as I write this). I may write a walkthrough at some point when I can type quicker but, for now and bearing in mind it is our first game, I must say it was great. We have now got Fire Department 3 and Emergency 2, both of which are more difficult than Fire Chief. I think I`m correct in stating that Fire Chief is the same as Fire Captain and Fire Department (the first one). Enjoy it but be prepared for problems. I contacted GSP to help sort some of these out and they were helpful. Finally, I think that this game is no longer made but may be wrong. | EA | Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire PC | Well to be honest I was slightly dissapointed. After the fun of the third game(whose graphics weren`t the greatest but the game was fanatastic) I was rather let down. The graphics are pretty good(well hopefully considering I haven`t finished the game) but the levels are completely different to the story line. Harry, Ron and Hermione are sent by Arthur Weasley to the portkey whilst the death eaters are rampaging. Were did this come from? They take extra defense against the dark arts lessons when they arrive at Hogwarts. I ask myself what on earth is going on. There is no conversation(well not much) and instead all you do is fight dugbogs. It is more of a shooting style game than the adventure games I like.
All of this would not be so bad if atleast the controls were reasonable but not on this game. For example, you are playing Harry. You press the forward key for a bit but then when you get to a turn you press the left arrow key to turn left. On this game the character keeps on running for quite a while(I haven`t found out yet why they do this) and keeps on running, even against a wall, and only then turns left. Basically, you don`t have real time control over your character which is pretty confusing because you`re pressing left but Harry still runs forwards, were is the logic in that? The game also has the annoying habit of making the character cast the spell every time you press the button. When in a battle situation you tend to over-press(is that the word?) the spell button and when you defeat the creature you keep firing away at nothing only for another creature to come and attck you. The thing is you can`t turn around to fire your spells at it so you have to wait until you`re finished. Not fun at all!
There are so many faults in this game and I am dissapointed. I really liked playing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban but this was a let down. I was hoping for that adventure of the last game, the ability to wander round Hogwarts but so far this has not presented itself.
