Napa Co. Election: No Growth Limits, Supes Runoff

Napa County voters rejected Measure N, an ordinance that would have capped growth in the county, according to unofficial final election results on Tuesday night.

The measure needed majority approval to pass. The vote was 51.8 percent against and 48.2 percent in favor, a difference of 684 votes.

Voter turnout in the county was 29.5 percent of registered voters.

The six-page measure would have limited the amount of new residential development built annually to 1 percent of the county's housing stock, and would have required 15 percent of residential developments to qualify as affordable housing.
