Cheney aide Addington says he didn't write memos

Vice President Dick Cheney's top adviser on Thursday refused to claim any responsibility for the adoption of harsh interrogation methods following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks during a combative exchange with congressional Democrats.

So Republicans have been in complete control for 8 years and conservatives blame everything on dems.

I think Americans are tired of the conservative bs.

You do know your guy bush has been over to saudi twice on his knees begging to his real masters, right?

Got that right. But Bush and his administration were in position financially. Read the Boston Herald feature November 11, 2001 exacly '6' dee days after 911. LOL. It has all thier invesments listed.

Saudi Arabia declared war with Opec on the USA and west in 1974. Instead of blowing up mountains in Afganistan, we should have taken Mecca and a ten pound sledge hammer to the Black rock they pilgrime to.

hehe

Perverted Princes and Kings in Holloween costumes should be spanked with hickory paddles and videotapped. Let Al Jezeer have the tapes when done. Then send them to Gitmo. For the source of terrorism is the Wahabbi's.

These war criminals, Addington and Yoo, demonstrated their contempt for the Constitution and the rule of law.

It would be wonderful if Obama promptly handed these two over to the Hague to stand trial for their criminal activities on behalf of Bush, Cheney, and crew. Bush might hand out blanket pardons to his henchmen while he's stealing the silverware on his way out, but I doubt the Hague would be impressed.

The Nazis lawyers were held as war criminals folks. Just think what it will say about our country if none of these conservatives are ever held to account for thier war crimes. And to think Clinton was nailed over a sex act while the republicans straight tortured people in our name.

Like most bushbots it appears you know nothing of history unless you get your weekly programming

Since the very first hearing (referral request in the Tadić case) on 8 November 1994, the Tribunal has indicted a total of 161 individuals, and has already completed proceedings with regard to 100 of them: five have been acquitted, 48 sentenced (seven are awaiting transfer, 24 have been transferred, 16 have served their term, and one died while serving his sentence), 11 have had their cases transferred to local courts. Another 36 cases have been terminated (either because indictments were withdrawn or because the accused died, before or after transfer to the Tribunal).

Slobodan Milošević was the first sitting head of state indicted for war crimes[2]. Other "high level" indictees included Milan Babić, Croatian Serb prime minister of Republika Srpska Krajina; Ramush Haradinaj, Prime Minister of Kosovo; Radovan Karadžić, Montenegrin former President of Republika Srpska; and Ratko Mladić, Bosnian Serb army commander.

Oh and BTW- there has been record ice loss in Antartica too. There have been 2 major ice sheets 100's of square miles in size that have broken off and melted

I think it only fitting that the interogration methods listed as legal by John Yoo and approved by Cheney and Bush be utilized in their questioning. This way they can decide first hand if it really is torture.

"Oh and BTW- there has been record ice loss in Antartica too. There have been 2 major ice sheets 100's of square miles in size that have broken off and melted" Thats what glaciers do. Since they are always on the move. Great insight slick. Oh and convicting only 3 people on average a year(is that all the world could catch since 94)is pretty pathetic. They must have a lot of free time on their hands. Semper Fi

Blaming Pelosi and "her gang" for the problems we're facing right now is like blaming a deck hand on the Titanic for not bailing water fast enough.

There is one war tactic that would have brought our enemies to their knees that the bush administration never considered. If on september 12th, we as a nation outlawed importatio of oil at least from the middle east, it would have crippled the economies of these nations and dried up the enemy in a year. If had put half of the money we sqandered on war into developing home based energy sources and cut off oil import entirely in the last 8 years, oru economy would be booming right now and saudi arabia and Iran would look like an african wasteland.

The problem with your reasoning would be that WE would have no oil, the economy would die, people would freeze to death in winter, trucks couldn't deliver supplies, starvation would take over. Neither political party wanted to do anything. They were all concerned about getting elected, and still are. It was all about NOW. No one thought ahead, and neither did the public. If the Republicans were in bed with the oil companies, then the Democrats were in bed with OPEC. It's the Dems who don't want us to drill for our own oil. That means we have to rely on OPEC until a new source of fuel is discovered. This generation will never see it. The more we pay for oil, the more taxes government collects. Do you really think they want the price to go down?
