Courthouse Gunman Long At Odds With Officials
Nobody paid much attention when Gordon Wheeler Sr. took a seat in the back row at a Morrison County commissioners meeting this week.
After all, Wheeler had been a regular presence at the government center for years, battling public officials over the strip club and porn shop he ran near this central Minnesota city 100 miles northwest of Minneapolis. On Tuesday, he sat quietly in his bib overalls, clutching a manila folder.
"He showed up midway through the meeting and didn't say anything," Commissioner Duane Johnson said. "When we adjourned, he said, `No, not yet,' or something like that."
