Obama: McCain's Energy Plan Is a Gimmick

Seems who ever is thinking about doing something in regards to energy or at least trys to come up with answers,like exploring,nuclear energy,ETC,Obama calls it a GIMMICK..This gimmick happens to be supported by over 70% of Americans.

Whats Obama's gimmick? Whats his plan ,if any?.So far its to raise taxes on energy to reduce consumption by us.Remember,were too fat,drive too much This Elitist knows whats good for us.

He and his Harvard ,liberal,egghead friends ,have fought our need for energy Independence for years .

What does he tell a single Mom,going to work,50mile round trip, to a hospital?,or a retired person getting to a doctor? Or you ,when you pull in to a gas station.? You may had to cut back on something just to pay for gas!

Obama is way out of touch with real people.His Opium rhetoric has dulled the good sense of many.
Obama,all the Democrats in Congress will not do anything for some action to at least start to think about Americans.
The untried,untested ,solutions are way in the future.10,20,or 30 yrs away.This they offer us?? pipe dreams! Most will be dead,and others Old....is that the answer?

How long can most hang in there!
Fist its frustration,then anger,then the worst is fear!..Fear that you won't be able to maintain your life style.Even tho its not easy now,what are you gonna do latter?? move into an inner city? give up on the good life? The Plan Obama currently has is to keep gas at $4.50 a gal. Reduce car use,wait for Detroit to invent batteries,or expensive Green cars..these will keep you in the red..not cheap when they get here.

This winter its going to be very cold.The Old and the young will suffer.Both the Green heads ,and we will freeze. But the elitists,who want to run your life will be warm,burning power,jetting around ..just like "Fat Gore" who is making Millions on this "GREEN" thing...green the color of money

Its no gimmick when anybody address the energy problem. Guys like Obama like it just the way it is.Blame everybody is his game!Promise any thing,to get votes.Politicians are all the same.Like street walkers they will do anything for your Vote.

If he gets in what do you think he is gonna do for you and your problem?...Why NOTHING..but of Course!!...its not going away,being broke,and no energy that affordable..Many today will some tomorrow be singing those were the good Ole days...

Democrats are blame shifters. McCain proposes doing something, Obama says it's a scam to benefit oil companies. 13 years after Clinton shoots down drilling in ANWAR, we are no closer to alternative energy sources as the norm. But more dependent on foreign oil than ever. Anything besides higher taxes will nort be considered by the liberal left. Might as well burn my paycheck and use it heat my home. I would just like to see the elected leaders (and I use the term lightly) see the needs of the American people and do something to meet those needs.

I really think Obama is starting to come unwrapped and is grasping at straws. Ha! The scripted speech days of the primaries are over dude.

Now McCain is coming out ahead of him with different viable plans, and all he can do is criticize because he has no plan of his own.

The scripted feel good speechs only have a certain shelf life and then you better have something to back it up, which he doesn't. It's always been "I'll pull the troops", "I was against the war". But no plan as to what happens when he does that. Totally clueless.

I can't wait until McCain and Obama have their first debate..he( Obama ) will be stuttering as he always does...Maybe he will wear an earpiece...so, the greasy scum of his campaign manager ( David Axalrod (can prompt him on what to say..

Yeah, im not too happy about the controled thermostat their talking about. Noone will control my thermostat. And believe u me the power companies will still get the same amount of money as they were still getting before. If not more.

First of all, we don’t even know if the ‘other things’ that are supposed to bring us alternative energy will be cost effective, or even work. However, I agree that we must move forward with development of alternative energy ASAP … but, in the meantime, this entire country runs on oil. And, I’m not just talking about us consumers at the pump, I’m talking about how everything we use, eat, wear, etc. … how it all gets to market, and eventually to us. We have to drill more, if even as a transition until alternate fuels are developed, But, aside from the cost at the pump for consumers, the bigger issue still is our national security. Drilling oil on our own land insures us energy independence, which will stop us from total dependence on countries who don’t like us … and from countries we’ve been sending tens of billions of dollars to every year. We must drill ASAP. The politicians who tell you different are simply placing petty party politics above the prosperity and security of America. Obama’s policies are just one example of what can happen when a bunch of inexperienced, but exuberant followers blindly follow an inexperienced, incompetent charismatic leader, who thinks he’s the second coming, off the cliff. Hunger is not enough of a justification to eat the goose that lays the golden eggs … or, eventually everyone will starve. If Obama, with his socialistic redistribution of wealth scams wins, America will turn into a third world country, with massive company closures and unemployment, within a few years.

With 75% Americans wanting government to do something to address the energy crises,Congress has been blocking any and all answers.

This Sen. Dick Durbin,D. has the answer, its to inflate your tires.Or buy a battery car,at a hundred tho a copy Don't drive,car pool, keep your thermostat at 50deg. Thats Sen. Reid. Obama says we are to fat,drive too much,and hang on to our bitter beliefs,like guns,church. What a genius this guy is.It was an awful week or two for us.They go on vacation now the congress does..won't be back till after labor day.America is on auto-pilot now!

In the last few hours of today,some plan was brought up.It seems the Democrats are feeling the pressure from us.I'm sure walking around their home districts they will get an earful.This directed at both democrats and Republicans.

Lo and behold,the expected one..Obama,today ,mumbled something about drilling!..what until the green slime heads get to him,he will back out.

Now Pelosi,who is smarter..NOT! is insisting there will be no drilling.
She prohibits any debate in Congress. she,is going to save the planet,even over our dead bodies.

No BHO that's not what it means. "Psychological Effect" means that the market will finally see a serious attempt to obtain a domestic supply of oil eliminating some of the supply uncertainties.

Just not comfortable and trusting of this man. So little experience to run our country. We should of all backed up Hilary Clinton, would have been a wiser choice.

I have been researching Obama's and McCain's energy plans. I believe their plans are headed in the same direction, but I do agree for the most part that McCain's plan is gimmicky. However, I think Obama is a little optimistic to think that alternative energy will be ready in time for his plans. McCains is a gimmick though. His plan for the new battery, is like taco bell offering you a prize if you buy there food. Ofcourse your chance of winning is 1 in 300 million. Hey, that's the same as with McCains plan. I think they both have fairly good plans.
