This is a Big thing and I think that everyone that can help should help otherwise not only them but more families are gonna sufer. If the Fire gets bigger then schools and Homes, shops ect will get burned.

I grew up in Goleta and remember the fires in Goleta all the way to Ojai and being almost surrounded by fire.

Sad to say I was not totally surprises... having been through so many when we lived there. I just hated the 'sundowners' because it would just draw the crazy's. Too bad there is not a better answer to the fire and subsequent devastation people have to suffer.

Man this sucks! We are in Sacramento and are suffering big time with the additional poor air quality. Anything over 150 is considered dangerous and we are in the mid 300's. I used to live in Goleta so I am devastated that every where that I have lived or live is quite literally on fire. My house is not large, but my property is and I could put A LOT of people up on my property as long as they are willing to camp out, but with this weather and our 112 weather who the hell wants to do that! Ay yi yi. This is called Mother Nature and we are no match for her. As much as I hate to say it because it is so sad to see people losing homes, we should just let the fire(s) run its course. Evacuate and stop putting firefighters in a situation that they will be over exhausted. Its already dangerous enough being a firefighter and many of these guys have been on the front since the fires broke on June 21st. Focus on evacuation and our plan of attack AFTER the matter because I think it is quite obvious its out of our control at this point.
