That special time of year is upon us; the smell of corndogs, funnel cakes, and farm animals lingers in the air. Yep, that’s right it’s fair time! The California Mid State Fair kicked off this week, opening the fairgrounds to 4-H clubs, locals, and tourists alike. The San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation established the Growing Together Initiative in 2001, dedicated to addressing the needs of the San Luis Obispo Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community. The race is exciting to watch as cyclists fly around the downtown area. Hundreds of cyclists took part in this years event.

The final race at the San Luis Obispo Downtown Criterium Classic just finished. This last race was amoung Men's Elite Professionals,categories 1-2. In the final race, the best of men's cycling faced off in a grueling 70 minute race around a .8 mile course. The ride ended triumphly for Daniel Holloway of VMG- FELT

A total of 360 cyclists from around the state particpated in the San Luis Obispo Criterium Classic this year.

The tenth and final race for women just wrapped up at the San Luis Obispo Downtown Criterium Classic. This race was comprised of women's categories 1-3, basically the top of the top in women's professional cycling raced today.
