Unlike Bush or McCain, Obama is a modest man
Barack Obama has been called many things- he has been called an elitist, a snob and most recently by Karl Rove, a Bush adviser, an "arrogant man." I find these attacks laughable. If we want to talk about arrogance, we need to talk about the Bush Administration in the last 7 years. The events of 9/11 would have brought the whole world together in a common cause against Islamic fundamentalism.

As Afghanistan boils, McCain keeps focus on Iraq
John McCain has called Iraq the "central front" of the war on terror, a crucible of America's ability to defeat violent Islamic extremists the world over.
But with record US casualties in Afghanistan in June, a resurgent Taliban, and new reports of Al Qaeda regrouping in northwest Pakistan, Senator McCain is likely to face new questions about his judgment on the one issue – national security – where voters consistently give him higher marks than they do his Democratic rival.

Candidates Vie For Hispanic Voters
There is little doubt that Hispanics will play a significant role in this year's presidential race between Barack Obama and John McCain. The Census Bureau reports an 18 percent jump in Hispanic voters in 2006, compared with the previous midterm election. They are also a big part of the population in key swing states, such as Florida, New Mexico and Colorado.

What if your family was planning a big end-of-summer bash (a Grand Old Party, you might call it) but preferred that you not be seen - or heard?
That is the question hanging over President Bush, with eight weeks to go until Republicans gather in Minneapolis-St. Paul to nominate Arizona Sen. John McCain as his successor.

Presidential nominees Barack Obama and John McCain celebrate the 4th of July
Presidential nominees Barack Obama and John McCain celebrate the Fourth of July holiday on the campaign trail.
Barack Obama and his family are celebrating the Fourth of July in Butte, Montana. It's a state that usually gives its three electoral votes to a Republican. Only two Democrats have carried Montana since 1948. Republicans typically do not feel the need to campaign hard in the state, and Democrats usually have little hope of winning the state. But this year, Obama is spending a sizeable amount of time and money to try to win Montana.
