WHO A PERSON SLEEP WITH OR HOW THEY HAVE SEX HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN OFF TOPIC FOR ALL PEOPLE IN THE MILITARY. KEEP IT SIMPLE

If gays want to serve in the military, they need to do their jobs and keep their "personal business" personal, for their own safety and for the morale of their fellow soldiers. They may come across people within their ranks who are homophobic and who would deliberately set them up to be hurt or killed in a war time situation.

I served onboard a submarine with a couple open homosexuals and several closet cases. I can't tell you about combat situations, but I know they and the rest of the crew were always too busy or too tired to care. Maybe because these were not the raving-mad butt-raping perverts the fundamentalists would have you believe they are but rather professional young men who sometimes frequented "different" bars when we pulled into port.

If a problem exists with a military member's sexual choice, then the problem usually lies within the person that has the problem. Maybe they need to just come out of the closet themselves...

I don't want to know anything about anybody's sexual habits, preferences, or desires. Except my own. So, please keep your titles to yourself. And I will do the same.

Why is it assumed that a person that finds it uncomfortable by be around someone of the same sex ( that could find them sexually attractive) when they are not “that way” puts them in the closet? Following your line of thinking, why would heterosexual women have a problem showering with a bunch of hetero men who haven’t see a naked woman in months?

Who cares what someones sexual preference is as long as he or she performs their duties. We are all born a certain way and nothing can change that, let people be.

This is absurd...when i am in my barracks showers i don't need to be thinking about whether the guy next to me is looking at me...and don't say that it would be in my head because if i were showering in the girls showers i would have a hard time not looking so what's the diff...we have enough things to worry about no problem with one being gay just don't say anything

Then why don't we get rid of THOSE people, just like we get rid of the racists & sexists. I remember all the old farts having a fit when women were allowed to serve on ships. Get over it.

Well then how hypocritical and obnoxious that you would put a picture of yourself with your woman up on the screen. Has it ever crossed your simple mind that maybe others don't want to know about your woman and your "straight habits"?

No one is going to be staring at your little pecker in the shower. Just because hetero men hump anything (including other men- "I was drunk"), doesn't mean the gays don't have self-control.

Have you watched a gay guy lift weights? He has to remove weight after the women finish. Do you want him covering your back? I don't think so. PC is OK until your life is on the line.

They are already looking at you in the shower, what difference does it make. If you're interested in hooking up, then look back, otherwise look somewhere else. It's not like they're going to attack you in the shower. Why are all the supposed heteros worried about having sex with another man?? Just say no!

Are all supposed heteros as ignorant as you? Like anyone would want YOU covering their back. I'll the the "weak gay" any day over someone like you.

You don't want to know anything about anybody else's sexual habits, but some of yours are on display for all to see. There's something just a wee bit hypocritical about that.
