Play Lines!

This game is almost as addictive as Tetris. And it was invented in Russia as well.

Here are the rules for the "Lines" game:

  • the goal of the "Lines" game is to arrange the colored dots in straight lines (across, down or diagonally) with five or more dots of the same color; when you get five or more dots in a row these dots will be removed from the board;
  • each turn three new dots randomly appear on the board; there is a preview of the next three dots in the right upper corner of the game screen;
  • you can move one dot each turn -- click on the desired dot to select it (it starts blinking) and then click on the free spot to move the dot; if there is a clear path to the free spot -- dot will move there; if you managed to connect a straight line with five or more dots of the same color you can make another move in the same turn;
  • when moving, dots can make only vertical or horizontal jumps; dots can't make diagonal jumps;
  • if you want to record your score, enter your name and press the [Record!] button; game will automatically restart after that;
  • if you want to pass your turn, press the [Drop 'em] button;
  • if you want to restart the game, press the [New Game] button;

You need to download and install Java to be able to play this game.
