Two 1^st place Cups will be awarded in the Blitz for Kids Championship 1-3, 4-6 grades. Here is the list who qualified into blitz

Tournament Of Champions and Challengers (TOC) 9:00 am and Blitz Championship 4 pm

SITE: Meridian Park Elementary, Shoreline (Meridian & 175^th st) (both tournaments are at the same place)

We Will Accept All Players (Challengers And Champions Sections ) Until March 1, 2008 At $20. After 3/1/2008 the fee Is $25 To Register If Space Is Open to Champions ONLY.

Please Register Earlier, You Can Move To Champions From Challengers At Anytime When Qualify

Players who qualify after March 1st into Champions will have four days after the end of the tournament to register at $25 if space is available.

If you register for Tournament of Challengers you can transfer later to Tournament Of Champions after you qualify.

Please make sure you read all rules about the tournaments before registering.

ELIGIBILITY – Tournament of Champions: This is a Qualifying Invitational Tournament.

Players have to score 5 points in a 5 round WA state rated OPEN scholastic tournament in any grade K-6 or combination,
The tournament has to be open to all players in the Washington State and be on the Scholastic Calendar. Tournaments that are not on the calendar do not qualify for Champions, but OK for Challengers.
No qualification from tournament with rating restrictions (e.g. 5 out of 5 in U800 doesn’t qualify)
Only WA state school students are eligible to participate.
Play min 15 games current season in scholastic tournaments
Last year’s 3 champions or Challengers in each section are invited to participate.
No qualification by rating is available.
Three Winners of Challengers will be invited to Champions next year

Three Winners of Challengers will be invited to Champions next year.

FORMAT: Four rounds Swiss. WA State rated only Two sections, grades K-3 and 4-6. Playoff G/5 (two games) will be used in case of tie for the first place. Tie-breaks will be used for other places. All TOC games will be played with clock – please bring clock if you have.

TIME CONTROL: GAME/45 Recording of all games is required until 5 min left on clock.

SCHEDULE: Check-in 8:15 - 8:45. First round at 9:00 Please bring clock if you have one. Players not checked-in by 8:45 will not play first round. Call 206-387-1251 if you are late. When checking in make sure your name is checked properly.

AWARDS (TOC): Winner in each section will be awarded The Championship Trophy. The second and third place overall will get trophies, and one player in each grade will get a trophy. All players without a trophy will be presented with TOC certificates.
