Missing girl's grandparents meet with officials
Comments
This whole thing stinks to high heaven. The first thing that came to mind when I started paying attention to this was here we go again...Scott Peterson and Susan Smith types.
The entire family seems very "odd" and I thought that from the get-go. It seems to me the grandmother talks in riddles and the brother and Casey are talking in some sort of "code" they have worked out between them. I don't believe the story about Caylee's father and was even wondering if Casee is really the poor child's mother. Caylee sure looks like the grandmother to me....much more like her than Casey! The authorities need to verify the story about the father and see if they can get some of his DNA in order to see if he really is the child's father. Like many others, I feel this poor child is dead and sincerely hope I'm wrong. If she is dead and the mother is responsible, I hope the book is thrown at her. Never do I recall such an unfeeling mother of a missing child! The grandmother is too strange and unfeeling too and I think she knows a lot more than she's telling. Not one thing known about this case seems to make any sense or add up in any way, shape or form! |

How convenient that Caylee's father is not available for comment or interview because, according to these people, he is dead. The grandmother first brushed off questions about him by saying he had never been involved and was killed in a car accident. Then, Casey told someone he'd been killed in the accident ON THE WAY TO CAYLEE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Does anyone know for sure if this man is really dead? The authorities need to verify that he even existed! What if Casey and Cindy are fabricating his identity as it seems Casey has done re. the nanny, Zanaida? If Caylee's father is indeed dead, then his family should be located and they may be able to help verify some of the story or provide some DNA. Then, it could be determined if he was really the child's father. Did anyone even see Casey with this man or know she was dating him? Are there any pictures of the two together? What is his name, where did they meet, etc.? So many unanswered questions.... If Casey and Cindy are lying about the father in any way, then WHY and WHO and WHERE is the real father? |

I'm a few years older than you and I've never heard that either! I don't like to hear kids address a parent by their first name but "Honey??" Ick! What does she call her father? |

This little girl is never gonna come back, she's gone. Her mother.... And her parents should look to their daughter for answers, instead of defending her.
|
I'm afraid you're right! Did you see the police or sheriff stating that Casey needed to provide the answers? WELL THEN WHY THE FUNDRAISER LAST NIGHT? Supposedly, the money from it ($850.00) is to be used to search for Caylee and not for the mother's benefit!!! This is another thing that doesn't make any sense. If Casey is refusing to co-operate and holds the key to solving this, then what on earth is the point of a fundraiser? Again, the family (especially Cindy and the brother) seem to be enjoying the attention from this on some level and the fundraiser reminded me of the vigil held for Laci Peterson while Scott Peterson was on the phone with his girlfriend, Amber Frey, telling her he was calling from Paris, France!!! I wonder if Florida law enforcement has overlooked something or is giving the grandparents special treatment since the grandfather is a retired homicide investigator? I'm sorry to say I think the grandparent are fully involved in this and know exactly what has happened and should win Academy Awards for their acting! |

Maybe Caylee is ok I hope. What if Casey sold her and now the grandparents want her back. Her mother (if you can call her that) does not want her she wold just get in her way. She needs to fry.

Judged: 1 The pizza in the trunk, the cadvar dogs led to the back yard. It seems as if they want the cops looking for a dead body that is not there. It is too soon to write the baby off as being dead. There is too much chance that she has been sold into some sort of human trafficking system - a fate worse than death. |

Yes, this case is too bizarre. Everything is a lie, the minute this family opens their mouth. The grandmother is contradicting herself at every turn. If they really want this child back, they should start telling the truth, and get Casey to open up and help the authorities.
|
|
Right and they ALL need to take a polygraph exam! Even if the results aren't admissable in court, you'd think they'd be begging so they could be cleared and eliminated as suspects. In view of the known lies that have been told, they would need multiple polygraphs, by the way, by the very best experts, to see or "average out" the results!!! |

my qestion ? I thought the Casey and Caylee
lived with the Mom ? If ? that is so ??? how in the world does the grandmother not knows she is missing ? If you all three live under the same roof, how do you wait 30 days to report her missing ? This whole story is bizarre ! I think the grandmother knows and she keeping information from the authorities. Plus, casey hasn't worked in 2 years! Does anyone thing ? Caey make have had the child in child porno ring to support herself and the parents ? I heard casey stole her Moms credit cards and went on a spending spree. This case makes no sense what so ever |
This reminds me of a very bad movie where a robber might pretend to be a witness to a crime and tell the cops the suspect went one way when in fact it was himself or an accomplice who went in the opposite direction. |

When I read this story it reminded me of the Susan Smith case. I only pray this little girl is still alive, but I'm afraid she isn't. Way too many crazy mixed up things in this.

I am from England, but visited Florida for a fortnight, when I believe the story was just breaking. I am young, only 17, but I have never heard of anything so bizare as this case. I was glued to the TV, listening to this grandmother tell of how she believes her child (Casey is is?) is innocent. Yet the daughter says she knows things that she will only tell when she is released. Quite honestly I believe the entire family is in on some conspiracy that I hope will end up with them suffering in prison, while that child is found and put in a caring home - something that she appears to have lacked in her short life. Though its difficult to get information about American news back in England I presume the girl has not been found, but I pray to God she is; relatively safe and hopefully not scarred (in both the physical or mental ways), however I agree with many of the above comments, I have this fear this girl is already dead.

^^^^Sorry you had to come to this. It's been very disturbing. IMO, don't think we'll ever see that precious little girl again.

I would appreciate it if you would clarify this statement. How so? |
