Board and Table Games From Many Civilizations (Book information)

In the 1960's, Robert C. Bell wrote two books on board and other games, specializing in historic games from all over the world. In 1979, the two books were published in one volume, and this volume is still in print. While the book shows its older age, it is a goldmine of information on board games and other games. Given its reasonably low price, it is recommended to everyone who is interested in the history of games, and board games in general.
