  Here at ChessMate.com we are currently engaged in a long overdue upgrade to our web site and to our ordering process, most especially by means of the addition of a secure shopping cart which is compatible with our new merchant gateway.

  In the meantime, please note that: when placing your order with the E-mail order form below, the transmission itself is not encrypted. Because of this there may be a very small risk of data theft -- as there always is out on the Internet -- but we feel that this risk is no greater than the risk involved in the average credit-card transaction in a retail store.

  We would like to suggest however, that when you are filling out this order form, you may want to consider putting the first half of your credit-card number on the form along with the rest of your ordering information, and then sending us an e-mail with the remainder of the credit card number and the expiration date on it to us at: chessmate@chessmate.com.
