Dear chess friends,

there is a variety of chess variants. Why two more variants?

Well, the reasons were quite simple. I've got the feeling, that the board of the usual chess isn't totally optimized.

·                 First of all the fact exists, that the bishop can attack only the half of all squares during the game. Opposing bishops on different color diagonals can not attack each other. After my conviction this situation is a lack in the normal chess. I've found the solution in the so called 'transfer fields' which allows the bishops to change their color diagonal. The possibilities of bishops combinations are doubled in this way and all opposing bishops can attack each other.

·                 It is also fact, that on the base of the normal chess a king can't be checkmated with only one piece. This was the reason to invent the so called 'switches' in which the transfer fields play an essential role. With the help of the switches many pieces get more stronger and it is now possible, to checkmate the king with only one piece. I don't know any variant, which is able to do this too on the base of the normal set of pieces and the rules of the normal chess.

This were my motives to change the board. I hope that there are some people, which will have pleasure to read my further explanations.

Till now, unfortunately, I haven't managed to provide my variants as computer chess versions. Who can help along or name contacts here? Please, give me a message into my guestbook or send me an e-mail.
