We are pleased to reveal our school's newly designed website.  Due to the timing of its activation, we apologize that our teachers' web pages are not immediately available.  During the opening days of school, Oakland staff will be completing the transition to our new format.  We hope you enjoy exploring our new design and its organization.  Please bookmark this site and visit it often.
 

Oakland Elementary School is one of six elementary schools in District 87. Our 490 students are served in grades kindergarten through five and reflect a rich cultural mix. Our staff of over 40 professionals provides a safe and enriching environment for all students. Many innovative programs have been initiated over the years and teachers are encouraged to embrace new strategies. Climate builders such as the Annual Back to School Picnic, Family Reading Night, and the Multicultural Fair have established a positive and caring environment in the school that encourages and promotes participation, learning and success.

5th grade parents:
 Non-perforated spiral notebooks will be available in the office after school begins.  We are sorry for the difficulty you had; unfortunately, the incorrect items arrived from our Office Max order.  You will receive more information on the first day of school.
