As of August 1, 2008, with the geographical expansion, Hanoi, Vietnam, jumps from 167th position to 44th position with population of 6,232,94^[1]. Mr Vinx (talk) 15:06, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

A change in administrative boundaries does not automatically result in a change in urban area boundaries. The list this template follows is derived from a delineation method that ignores administrative boundaries and only looks at continuous urbanization. --Polaron | Talk 15:36, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
