West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) is a state owned electricity regulation board operating within the state of West Bengal in India. It provides electricity to over 40 lakhs hearths and homes, business, industries, agriculture, public utilities, covering 87000 km² of the total 89000 km² area of the state. The organisation was created by the Electricity (Supply) Act., 1948 and came into being on 1 May, 1955[1]
