Welcome!

The Chess Knights offers the chance to play turn-based chess in an attractive interface. We also offer tournaments, team play, and casual games, both rated and unrated. If you are looking for a great place to play chess, come in and stay a while!

This site best viewed at 1024x768 screen resolution (minimum).

Important!

Notice to Previous Chess Knights Members: Everyone must register as a new player. The 'old' Chess Knights database no longer exists. If you have trouble getting registered, send this site an email through the Email Webmaster link above.

Announcements

The Chess Knights is now open! However, some pages will not yet be available.

Basically, the areas not yet ready are Languages, the teams competition area, Live Games, News (a new feature), and the Player League (another new feature). There may also be a few display problems with some of the pages. Rest assured, however, that most of the unfinished areas will be updated and/or added within a week.

Regarding Teams, when I open the site, you will not be able to form teams and add team members. However, you will be able to form Teams beginning on August 19.

Areas which are functioning: Casual Games, Round Robin tournaments, Swiss Tournaments (Swiss Tournaments is working overall; I will, however, be adding a few features to swiss tourneys in the coming days), forums, private messaging, Challenges, and several other features.

One major departure from the 'old' site is the fact that the phpNuke cms will no longer be used on the new site. You will find that the site is much faster as a result.

As I said above, the site will not be completely ready. However, the basic functions are working, and I will not delay any longer in opening the site to my new and old chess friends. I hope to see everyone soon!
