RESOURCES/MATERIALS: Examples of a check statement and a checkbook ledger sheet ACTIVITIES AND PROCEDURES: After discussing the use of checks, how to write them, and the importance of balancing them, allow the students to try to balance a statement on their own by giving them a handout of a checkbook statement.
