People to People International - Youth seminar against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance ‘How to Move Forward?’, May 4 - 9, 2007, Plovdiv, Bulgaria Application deadline: February 10, 2007 'How to Move Forward?' is a project for the countries from South Eastern Europe. Its main aim is to promote tolerance between the different ethnic groups on the Balkans and to combat the racism and xenophobia, which are one of the main problems in the region.
Target group: - Motivated young leaders and workers, project leaders, trainers, NGO representatives and other multipliers from Albania , Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina , Bulgaria, Croatia , Czech Republic , Greece , Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, TFYRO Macedonia and Turkey - Already have experience and in working as trainers and educators with young people - Be able and committed to act as multipliers or trainers for human rights education - Be motivated to develop their knowledge and competence in human rights education and to share their experiences with other participants - Be able to work in English - Be committed to attend for the full duration of the course and be supported by an organisation, institution or service - Age preferably between 18 and 30. Application fee: 20 Euro. Food and accommodation are provided; travel expenses are covered to 75%. Work language: English.
