Information on book: Chess Variations: Ancient, Regional, and Modern

The first book on the topic of chess variants I read was Gollon's book Chess Variations: Ancient, Regional, and Modern. It describes several chess variants, and gives sample games. The book appeared in 1968, with a second edition in 1973, and went out of print in 1995.
