Forty
Four Blues - Little Walter's Solo |
This harmonica solo by Little Walter Jacobs is from
"Johnny Young and His Friends" (Testament 2226) an album of
informal recording made in between 1962 and 1966 (To order the CD
online, visit the Testament Records
website). Little Walter is
unamplified here, and his playing is in a solid Delta style.
He makes extensive use of double notes in this solo, playing them either
in octave tongue blocks or on two adjacent holes.
