A lovely Victorian farmhouse situated on five acres just seven
minutes from downtown Gig Harbor. The house is nestled in the peaceful community of
Rosedale. A large porch surrounds the front of the house for summer lounging on
wicker furniture. The house is furnished with Victorian antique furniture. Sit
in the cozy parlor around the crackling fire, play a few tunes on the old piano, try a
game of chess or relax with a good book. Stroll the expansive grounds, or take a
short walk to the waters edge of Lay Inlet.
A full breakfast is served weekends at 8:30 a.m. in the large
dining room. Continental breakfast is served weekdays.
The
charming fishing village of Gig Harbor offers a refreshing respite from the bustle of big
city life. Take a walk onto the City Dock and spend time watching the fishing boats
and cruisers ply in and out of the harbor, or visit the many shops along the main
street. A museum offers a history of the
area, first settled by Yugoslavian fishing families more than a century ago. If
night life is your interest, the Tides Tavern offers dancing on the
weekends, usually with live music. If you prefer a gentler sound, there is live jazz
at the Harbor Inn on the weekends. There are many fine restaurants in the Gig Harbor area. Most are
casual and do not require dress clothing. Please let us know if you would like us to
make reservations for you at one of them.
Summer brings with it a series of events including the Arts
and Crafts Fair, outdoor theatre, a parade, Farmer's Market, antique auto
rally and the Washington Renaissance Fantasy Faire. Please ask your hostess for a calendar of events.
A perfect site for your garden wedding, accommodating up to 200 guests! Several lovely garden areas are available for you to choose from, including a gazebo among the roses. An indoor facility is also available for small receptions and meetings, accommodating up to 25.
